Depending on the job (accounting - as opposed to accountant, customer service, sales) nowadays it is possible to have a career spent in a cublcle. Not the most pleasant of thoughts, but true nonetheless.

I work with, accounting, geographic information systems, computer software, landscape architecture, planning, project management, hydrology, environmental science, real estate, etc. professionals and except for upper management or owners, we are just about all in cubicles. I have seen the "box" appear many times, the lyrics rang true for me. One of my early, and not very good, attempts at songwriting attempting to address those empty spaces.
