I think this is one of your best works :D , though personally I like the first version better than the revised one. Yes, for better or worse, at times I try to lay a foundation of expectation/familiar to enhance a different line of thought/meaning. For the better in my opinion, in fact I was expecting it all the way through the song as that's what I would have done. As far as the recording is concerned I think a real drummer instead of the loop would really lift it to another level. In fact just for fun how about posting another mp3 with the drum loop track removed, so I can have play on my Cajon 8)
