Hello to all and apologies for not being around much last week. Nursing various members of the household is taking precedence over other activities, I'm afraid. But don't worry, I should be able to get the chance to catch up with what you've done for last week over the next few days.

In the meantime, though, there's this week and we've got a two-tiered assignment. You can take choice "A" or "B" or even both if you should so decide.

Choice A is a topic. And today being Father's Day in many places in the world, guess what? Yes, you can write about fathers. Or daughters (or sons) or family relationships in general. Totally up to you.

Choice B is musical. What I'd like you to try to do is to write a song where at least one part of it is in a different key from the other. For examples:

Happy Xmas (War is Over) by John Lennon - First half of verse is in A / second half of verse and chorus are in D

Norwegian Wood (also by Lennon) - "A" section of song is in D, "B" section is in D minor (D melodic minor if you want to get picky)

Heaven by Talking Heads - Verses are in D, chorus is in G

Feel free to post even more examples on this thread! I certainly will when I get the chance! Right now someone needs more attention!

As always, I'm looking forward to reading and hearing what you come up with.

Peace
