Hello to all

Reading over a bit of the discussions last week brought to mind a topic we explored ages ago, and one I think might be worth revisiting, simply because it's an excellent writing exercise.

Your task is to take any of your old songs - it can be from the last month or it can be from before you even knew the SSG existed - and to rewrite it using a different narrator's point of view. For example, suppose the original song was told with a third person perspective, you might go with a first person narration by one of the characters in the song. If you wrote the song in first person, you might write it from the first person perspective of another character in the song. Or you might write it in second or third person.

A change in narration will (hopefully) also bring about a different musical perspective in terms of melody and chords, giving you a completely new song. Two from one, if you will.

As always, I look forward to reading and to listening to what you come up with.

Peace
