No worries.  I understand what you are saying.  An example would be like Janet Jackson's "Runaway"  <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw7NhtLh5IM">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw7NhtLh5IM</a>   A pop song with a "flavor" of world music.<br>I like the new music.  It's not so Eastern that it doesn't sound melodic to me.  The style makes it more obvious what the lyrics are about (duh, I missed it the first time).  James, what an amazing talent you have for composing in different genres.

Thanks for the feedback, Renee.   Different music for different tastes.  Some styles are definitely easier to do than others, but I like to at least try and stretch.....I appreciate your encouraging words.<br><br>-James]]></content:encoded>

You could put more eastern flavour in - which might lift it up to the next level. <br>Its dead catchy as it is though. <br>The verses might be improved by playing around with the words a bit - eg "preparing to fight" rather than "prepared to fight", maybe "tall tales told" instead of "tall tales". But thats just my thoughts - and might not suit what you are doing anyway.]]></content:encoded>
