No<br>lights in the kitchen, it's<br>too light outside, last<br>night's Chinese Takeaway<br>slimy and cold.<br><br><br>Sleep off the booze and the<br>pills and the nameless<br>lovers whose faces you'll<br>never see.<br>Live on the dreams of<br>knights in bright armour, and<br>wake up to <br>reality.<br><br><br>Don't ask no questions of the<br>bathroom mirror, it'll<br>tell you the truth that you<br>don't want to hear. You<br>put on your makeup to<br>hide the disasters you've<br>brought to your life for the<br>next hundred years.<br><br><br><br>The needle's cold pinprick<br>takes away pain, and<br>brings a few hours feeling<br>human again.
