the forgotten street  
 
walking down the forgotten street  
i came across this soul  
it was caged in its faith and  
reached out to me for reasons unknown  
it was burning in its pride  
it was fading by its lies  
it was playing by its truth  
it was singing out my tune  
it was pleading to forgive  
it was rooted in its belief  
it was crying for its loss  
it was dying in the chaos and it pulled at my hand
