I love the three lines Bob quoted above to me it infers a downward spiral of self worth, sort of endless loop of her negeativity toward herself.

You can almost feel her self doubt and and loathing for herself (I hope loathing is not too strong a word).

I think I know her, or I've at least seen her around.

this is yet another wonderful submission from you. this song is great. like everyone else has said. unlike what others said i was able to see a meter pretty easily except for one line.
She only drives when she gets that sick feeling at night this line seems to stand out, not fitting the meter of the rest of the verse.

it is a nice title, i was a bit worried that it might be a bit cliche of a song. but it wasn't at all. should have thought about who was writting it and known that it wouldn't be at all cliche.
She plays at games this line is a little confusing to me, at games?????
When that part of her yearns
For cigarette burns these are my favorite two lines.

wonderful imagery, you always have a great way of wording things. turning them just slightly of their side.

I love the bridge, works really well and for me, it brings the song together.

I did have a problem with the meter and rhyme in a couple of places, but I am sure if we get to hear you sing this, it will sound fantastic.
It is not always easy to pick up other peoples melodies when reading.

Once again, I stumble over the meter here, but I know that must work in your mind, and whan / if I hear it, I'll go "ahh... that's how he's doing it."

So I'll stick to the storyline, which is superb! I like your use of the phrase "pretty ugly". Very clever way of doing the assignment. Also like the dual personas of the character. very well done. Excellent work, Marv, and an angle I wouldn't have though of.
