You missed the boat a little bit with the imagery.  It's things you would see of hear in a horror movie.  I could've explained it better.

You have some good stuff here but you might need to look at your lyric like a programmer now.  Think logic flow and if, then, else.  Do the first lines of a stanza pay off in the last lines?

Regarding writing a song a week, remember it's just an exercise.  We aren't always trying to come up with something perfect.  Heck I have a bunch of lyrics from last year that will probably never see the light of day.  I think I wrote almost 35 out of 52 and I use 3 of them now.

I've got to say that for me 10% return on written lyrics is fantastic and worth all the work.  I really do like the lyrics of those 3.

So try breaking it up.

Day 1 - write out your idea
Day 2 - spew out your initial creative burst
day 3 - work a bit on the chorus
rest of the days work on the verses.

Don't worry if you can't get them all in.  I didn't last year and I ran the thing.
