                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Two more interesting ideas (and definitely save the stand up comic - Bob will probably use this topic again although not as soon as I've asked him to...      :wink:   )<br><br>I like how this works, the internal rhymes, the attention to detail (the TV dinner and Oprah lines are great and mirror each other in a nice way), all in all it's pretty cool. The only thing I'd say is that in the second verse you use "minimum wage" and, especially since it's a union job, it's safe to say your narrator makes (or made, I should say) a little better than that. <br><br>Good to see that you've been a regular here this year Mike and looking forward, as always, to more from you.<br><br>Peace]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[BAGGAGE HANDLER'S BLUES<br><br>I'm sweating on the tarmac, it's rolling down my back, must be 102<br>can't hear myself think, don't have time to blink, man I hate what I do<br>everyday's the same, each luggage claim gives me the feeling of deja vu<br>I got them standing on the runway, wasting my life away<br>baggage handler's blues<br><br>I just unload the planes, don't ever complain, keep at it til the shift's thru<br>at the end of the day, I wash it all away, with a tv dinner &amp; a couple brews<br>when tommorow rolls in, I'll be back in the luggage bin, doing what it is I do<br>I got them working for the daily wage, wasting my life away<br>baggage handler's blues<br><br><br>I got 18 years, of my blood sweat &amp; tears and paid all my union dues<br>they went bankrupt, so now the gig's up, they handed me my walking shoes<br>now I'm sitting on the sofa, listening to Oprah, all day got nothing to do<br>How I wish I was standing on the runway, working the day away<br>with them baggage handler's blues<br><br>                        *********************************<br><br>I actually had a different one about a stand-up comic and each verse ended with a joke  so I posted the above one instead.
