If you'd like to try to make it rhyme, you can always try http://www.rhymezone.com

There is a rhyming dictionary there, although it's by no means exhaustive and some of the rhymes are kind of a stretch.

This is something (not that I recommend, just a different way to put things) that I got from looking at it. The verse changes from:
Sitting in the train
After a hard day of work
Some more happiness I gain
After one look at the sky

to
Sitting in the train
After a hard day of work
I am happy once again
After one look at the sky

It's kind of a cliche line, but it seems to fit (in my mind anyway..YMMV). I'm sure you can come up with something better though :)

It's something I wanted to put in there, as it's true for me. I'm getting a bus at 7.15 every morning, and looking at the sky always cheers me up... I'll try and find some other way to express that, without trying to rhyme :P

I liked it Karla. :)

I'd never have the nerve to sing unaccompanied like that. But I thought it was a very good way to get your song across while you were thinking about the guitar part. To be honest, lots of lyrics here never get a guitar part written, so singing it was a great idea and gave us all the feel of your words as a song.

Singing alone like that is a heck of a lot harder than it seems, and I thought you did a good job. One of the bits I find hard is hitting the right note at the start of a verse, without a musical cue. And I thought you did that bit well. A few wobbles, but why not? It did the job and sold the song. :)

The words told the story in a gentle wistful way that I think lots of people could relate to. The only line that I stumbled on a bit was "Some more happiness I gain" which seemed a bit lumpy (lumpy???!).

Good job. :)

You might find it handy to sing something you know very well, and record that. Compare it to the original, where do you go wrong? High notes, low notes, rhythms

That said i think theres a good voice waiting to come out, try singing with more confidence and really let it out.

gunslinger thats a handy little drum machine, just downloaded it and gave it a try thanks.

I'm curious if that's very obvious to you. Also I'd love to get some tips on how to add some drums or so (I don't even know how to create it on my pc, not even a simple base drum...) Gotta think about some guitar parts to go with it, haven't got time for it now as I've got a hell of a lot to do for school :( while I've spent too much time on this already... But I'll try to add that later :)

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=380008
