My reason is that it rhymes with the words that ends two lines of your chorus ( 'hell' ).  I don't think I've ever heard a song that has that sort of rhyming pattern where the first word of the chorus is held for 4 beats then rhymed against later.  Hearing it in my head it has pretty cool effect.  <br><br>Great contrast in the bridge where the sin is the answer to prayer.  Clever.]]></content:encoded>
