I like the revised version with one same exception.
She says she feels much better when she's walked two miles away This line seems a bit long and could use some editing and I think instead of her
feeling it sholud be you sounding better.

This made me smile. Very cool.

I'd like to suggest going for a bigger laugh in the second verse, maybe something like this:

My missus takes a stroll when I start to play
My missus takes a stroll when I start to play
She says she feels much better when she's walked two miles away

Or something along those lines.

Another suggestion would be to flip the last two verses. This is a minor thing, but I think it gives a little more logical flow to the narrative. You could even begin the third verse with "But..." ("But I don't give a darn...") and that would set up a situation in the first two lines, followed by your reasoning it all out in the last two. Just a thought.

And you can't sing that badly... :wink:
