V2 is the key, something has happened between them, a misinterpretation that has led to the strained relationship. The singer wants to resolve this but the singee is either too proud or too embarrassed to do anything about it. The singer understands this but is still keen to repair the relationship. I felt that the nature of the strained relationship was probably immaterial (and maybe a little too close to home) to make it more explicit. Thanks for your comments.<br><br>Ken,

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi Paul,<br><br>Looking good  :D <br><br>It might just be me...it seems like I should be able to tell what's going on and I don't mind a bit of mystery, but it's like I need one more clue..... :? <br><br>my best guess is an ex wanting to see his/her old flame but the old flame has a new partner that might get upset if they knew the old couple was meeting again ....even if they said it was "just friends" catching up on old times.<br><br>vs 1 looks as though the singer is confirming a meeting they already have planned "I thought I'd call you<br>Before I came" <br>but <br>vs3 looks as though the singer is trying to setup a meeting...."I understand why.......I want to see you all the same"<br><br>or it is both -the singer is confirming a meeting they already have planned ....but....the singee changed their mind and doesn't want to meet anymore....<br><br>....it looks like vs 2 is the key where somehow a "her" comes into play, but there's not enough there to know who she is or what happened...I am open to clarification......<br><br>James]]></content:encoded>
