Hi Everyone

Hope you're having a great week-end. Â There was a great response to the last asignment and even though some people claimed to not understand the blues I think most people got it down quite well. Â The blues was just a good place to start because it's the basis of so much of what we listen to today. Â The Legends of the 60s and 70s just took it on that next stage and developed it for themselves and that's what we're going to do with this week's assignment.

If the blues is a small screen then good solid rock is widescreen. Â Everything is bigger, the music (electric overdriven guitars, thumping drums even keyboards), the theme (unrequited love, desertion, unrealised dreams, the future), the imagery (cold as ice, rags to riches) etc).

Week 20

This week I'm asking you to submit a measured rock song (not all out thrash or speed metal) with full widescreen treatment. Â Make it about one of the themes mentioned above and let's see where it takes us.

Good Writing

bob
