I agree with scratch on the ending. I think the last verse and the fade-out ending are the best part of the song:) Now it's a mile and a half into town,

Welcome back, man. Hope this week is more quiet for you. I think political songs are the hardest to write. Although some of my favorites seemed quite adept at it. But I think you did a grand job here. Always wonder about the bureaucrats. It must be rational to someone. I especially liked your ending. I don't usually like fade-out endings, but I think in this case, a fade out would probably work well.

This is probably the most political I'll ever get - but when you see 80-odd year old people queuing up in the rain from about 8am because the government wants to - quote - rationalise the service industries - what the hell is rational about making 25000 people use one office with six windows.........

But that's government for you........

Sorry I haven't been able to critique any songs for a week or so, problems this end.......but now I'm back ...heh heh ... but I've looked and enjoyed your writing - but critique one, you have to critique them all, and honestly, I could not spare the time...........

Anyway, keep writing everyone.....anyone else noticed how standards are rising week by week on here?
