running number two
running number two
i'm about to see if
that old adage is true
with the double meaning of 2nd gear and second place in the race.

Im not sure V3 works, cos you've just won the race and she's got the purse. Maybe some thing like:
finishing in first
finishing in first
I thought I just got lucky
But my old lady took the purse

Verse 4 Im not keen on, only cos I don't quite understand it

Verse 5 I like.

Not a bad effort really I reckon. The reason it works for me is that you not only describe the situation but you also let us know what your thinking, and that's good.

Cheers

Paul
