this whole anger / angst thing is not really my cup of tea. Although it seems to be quite popular these days. Anyways, the song itself, in terms of meter / rhyme / structure, works very well. You know what might be interesting? if you put these lyrics to an up-beat melody. I think the incongruous relationship between the words and the music would be fantastic. Gotta say, I really like it. Again it's a sad song - most are this week it seems. It's a simple song about feeling let down and betrayed. Calling it simple is meant in a good way. There's also an underlying anger in there that threatens to burst out. Maybe you can use that to your advantage with any music you put this to.
