I do how ever have a problem with the chorus.....

And though it could seem trivial
I say that nothing's quite impossible
And all that's meant to happen will
Everything's eventual

This seems like a huge mouthful to sing, and to me personally it just didn't flow like the verses.
The verses are really really good !!!!!! I tripped up over the chorus time and time again, and just couldn't get it to flow.

I absolutely love the story.  I like the determination, the uncompromising pursuit for the ideal.  The guy spends his entire life seeking this pinnacle of feminine splendor, whom, for all we know, isn't even real.  It's a Quixotic quest, which is one of my favorite kinds of stories.

The chorus.  It's just fantastic.  At first, I didn't think "trivial" was the best word that could be used there.  It seemed somehow inaccurate.  But I tried A LOT of other words there, and none of them worked.   The meter, the rhyme, and the ideas expressed in the chorus are all woven together so well, that adding or taking anything from it just messes it up.

Fourth verse.  I didn't like "hopeless hope" (it's recursive).  But again, like "trivial" I tried to fit anything else in there, and no luck.  I tried - empty, forlorn, mournful, and a bunch of others.  Hopeless just somehow fits.  It shouldn't, but it does.

The bridge crowns the piece, and the whole thing just flows beautifully.  I hope you record this one.

Now if you could just share with the rest of the class how you get stuff of this caliber posted mere hours after the assignment...

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to print this one out, and spend a few days on it before I write up a real critique.  There's just so much that I like about it, that if I were to post some off-the-cuff comments right now, it would read like a long string of  gratuitous superlatives.  Just an initial knee-jerk reaction, though, would be that it's really great stuff.
