Why is the singer hiding her feelings? Good start. :D Nice angle on personification of a food item.... I'm not sure what the food is .....Cracker Jacks?......Fiddle Faddle?

Consider dropping some of the verbiage streamline the lyrics.

For example:

I knew FROM the beginning.... we were meant to be
I knew right then and there.... you were the one for me
I wondered FOR SO LONG when WE would finally meet
But when it comes to loving you babe
I get the salty with the sweet.

You taste like honeysuckle hangin on the vine
But I also taste the sting of the oceans salty brine
The combination baby ...knock me off my feet
When it comes to loving you babe
I like the salty with the sweet.

etc....
