I like the way you handled the traveling imagery. Seems you took a more subtle approach yet when reading it I still felt a sense of movement.

You didn't throw an awful lot of travelling imagery in, but it did manage to sustain the lost and lonely feeling I got from this....

"there's never a path when everything's flat
and you can't go home again".....

maybe these two lines would read better like this....

"There's never a path where everything's flat,
To lead you home again"....

Really good job and you have some good imagery in there, but just a question: Where's the travelling imagery? I only found one word that pointed towards anything near it.
