Thanks Paul. I tend to agree; I would like to try this in a Jack Johnson style of song. I'm also a bit fan of his song writing so I guess that's coming out in my style too. :)

No, I get it now. See I was focusing too much on the "hell to" bit. I see what you're saying now and it's a VERY good point. I honestly didn't pay all that much (read, any :P) attention to a sequence of events. But you're spot on!

This is all great feedback. Thanks mate. :)

almost metal style ... which I have no idea how to play
Well after listening to my son's death metal albums, I reckon you just turn the distortion way up to 12, pound out some barre chords with all down strums and scream into the mike. simple really :D
Thanks mate. Ever thought of becoming a guitar teacher?
... only part that I found a bit hard to grasp was the end of the first verse... but then on second reading I see you would run that straight into the first word of the second verse, so yeah it works for me :)
might I be so bold to say if you swap the first verse and the second verse around .. The last line of your first verse then runs nicely into the chorus ..
I thought this might cause a bit of confusion. I originally had it as:
There's gonna be hellta ...

Payload's delivered
...
I figured the "hell to" phonetically spelt might cause even more confusion so just changed it to "hell to". Although if I had the gumption to record it you'd hear it pronounced "helter" ... gotta rhyme with "shelter" ya see. :D

And of course, yep, I was trying to be a bit of a smartarse and link it up with the "pay" of "payload".

I think I'll just have to cheat and have the real title in brackets. :P

Anyhoo, onto the song. This is in a very similar vein to other titles posted regarding neighbourhood noise. As for what style I'm thinking of this being done in I'm in two minds; I originally thought of it in a Jack Johnson or Xavier Rudd style calming type of song but then thought it might be more appropriate (and ironic) being done in a heavy, almost metal style ... which I have no idea how to play. :D

Noise (Urban Assault)

Verse
Silence is fleeing
No place to shelter
Seeking for refuge
There's gonna be hell to ...

Verse
Payload's delivered
Space's invaded
Sanctuary's overrun
Peace's faded

Chorus
Searching for seclusion
There is no halt
To the tympanic terror
This aural assault

Verse
Suburban siege
The walls bombard
The booming noise
Peace is marred

Chorus
Searching for silence
There is no halt
To the tympanic terror
This urban assault

Bridge
Aural assault
Killing the soul
Urban assault
Taking its toll

Chorus
Searching for solace
There is no halt
To the tympanic terror
This urban assault
