... Dan akroid(who used to be in Steely Dan)... :!:
You sure about that, dog?
A cursory look at Steely Dan's "bio" on allmusic.com mentions that Becker and Fagen played in a band called "the Bad Rock Group", which had Chevy Chase on drums. But there's no mention of Dan Akroyd. Likewise, if you lookup Dan Akroyd, there's no mention of Steely Dan. I could be totally off....just that I never heard that before.
Then again, Dan Akroyd was one of the original "Not Ready For Prime Time Players", and so was Chevy Chase. And your brother works at a Chevy dealer. And both the "Blues Bros", and "Thelma & Louise" feature chases... so maybe there's some sort of esoteric connection there. I dunno.

Oh yeah, the song. I love the song. Great song. No matter who inspired it.

-- Scratch 8)

This is getting very strange indeed! :!: As i had said in my origianal post The song was inspired by the Blues Bros. movie, Dan akroid(who used to be in Steely Dan), and the song has a steely Dan feel to it. Well, my youngest Brother just happened to call me( he lives out side of Atlanta GA.) He works at a chevy dealer and just happened to be sitting in his office with a fellow sales man who just happens to have Played in steely dan years ago 8) 8) about that time Chris had to hang up to take care of business, so I don't have any more details. I just thought that was very strange YOU ARE NOW INTERING THE TWILIGHT ZONE
