All I can say is, the original going-off-to-sleep-I-won't-bother-writing-this-down idea must have been one helluva good one, because this is pretty good in its own right. (Or write, if you prefer!)

Only problem I had was with the last line of each verse and the last line of each chorus - it doesn't seem to match up at all with the rhythm I had going in my head, but sheesh, I suppose there are a hundred ways around that, and because they all don't match in the same way, I'm guessing you've already got the delivery of those lines planned out.

I also like the way you've done the topic differently from everyone else - where we chose to write a postcard, or a letter, you chose to write about receiving a letter...cute!

Looking good so far, and looking forward to hearing it.

But it's also a great song either about a lover who wasted your time or just about the time you might have wasted chasing junk mail dreams (as in the last verse)
