Welcome to the Forum. I liked your song too. Lot of nice imagery. I made some suggestions which you may find helpful....or not. Take them with a grain of salt. I really like this song. What works for me is that you can interpret this song as a commentary on someones life in general. You've stuck to the assignment of theatre imagery very well. Well done.

If my interpretation of this song is correct, especially as it might apply to a woman then I think these lines should stand

you become someone else I agree with The Celt about the rhyming scheme for the choruses.

Good to have you in our musical mad house , we all love music and I really enjoy reading other peoples lyrics . I have to agree with The Celt on your chorus but please don't be offended by our opions , and please read others works and comment on them that's how we all learn .

Welcome to GuitarNoise and SSG.

What can you expect?

I would say you can expect to have your songs read
and constructively critqued by a diverse group of people who all share a
love of music and and the written word.

Of course in the end it is only our opinions and sometimes
they can vary greatly

That said I like your song. I could use some tightening up
but there is alot of good imagery and the story rings true.

The two line parts,I guess I'd call them pre-chorus, are good.
I might think of changing the second line though.

Instead of "You are someone else"

Maybe something like " You're becoming someone else"

I like this chorus part to:

"free to be, free to laugh, in the name of someone else
free to cry, with no shame, to your title
free to stumble, free to love, and nothing is attatched
free to act, to the script, of ur play "

I know some will say songs don't have to rhyme but I
think it might work here.


Again maybe something like:

"free to be, free to laugh, in the name of your art
free to cry, with no shame, that's what you do
free to stumble, free to love, is it just another part
free to act, to the script, It's not you"

Well those are my thoughts do with them what you will.
