hello olav.

sorry that I changed your words a bit...just seemed to fit better that way.
I'm glad you like it...

of course, I'll try to explain the second verse to you(not sure if I can 'cause it's not as clear to me as it should be for I wrote it*smile*)
alright

the first line about the clocks refers to the first verse about time moving backwards, that's pretty obvious, I think, the person wants time to bring him(or her...let's assume it's a male person) back to the point where he stopped existing in a real(human) form-the point where his ashes were scattered

the next line about the leaves is somehow the third line of the first verse revisited...and still has something to do with the person- he grew&lost his beauty before anyone else even noticed
and now he's tired of it all but somehow can't give up on life yet...so he's ripping of his eye lashes so he cannot fall asleep(-no eye lashes means you can still see even with your eyes closed-might be different in real life, but...anyway  )
then the chorus again...keeps on longing for the only place where he felt protected&quite alright...like a baby in its mother's womb...you could understand it that way also:he wants to creep back into his mother's womb literally...ohh creepy;)

I hope that helped.
thanx
bluenightangel
