Fantastic collaborative effort. An absolute delight to listen to. And once it was sung, the line about "what you think I want you to say" worked beautifully (as so often happens when the voice and music can bring the meaning of a lyric out).

I was about to say that it sounded like a cross between Dylan and Dire Straits. But even though that would be meant as a compliment it's probably better to say that it sounded like the Best of The Celt meets The best of Smokindog.

Both contributors now have a strong and well established personal style here, so I probably don't need to compare them to anybody else any more, now that I've listened to a fair bit of what they can both do.

My feeling are Joe has found the best solution the word
"that" makes alot of difference.

I think the edit should help and still retain the word play
I was looking for.

As a package it is nice, there are a few lines I am stumbling over, but knowing how you always fit them in the the melodies you create, I will wait to hear before putting my foot in my mouth.
I do agree with Chris's suggestion of the change in the lines
