yeah, on that note, I only really had two idea, the first being unable to get U2's "new year's day" out of my head (it happened to bring up memories of a great new years day I had, even if the song's actually about a labor revolt)

The second idea was that I could sing about doing nice things for my wife on my "anniversary" of June 17 to her utter confusion because our anniversary is actually July 17... but I decided it would be tough to convey, and I wanted to get a song done this week!!!
She said she'd have a date with me on February thirty first

Great suggestion, consider it done. (though not yet recorded)

Jeremy

What was there seemed just the right mix of hooky phrases and story detail to make the idea come to life.

I would have liked to know where it was going to go next, but that doesn't always happen to order. The rest of a song might fall into place hours later, or take months or even years to show up. So I guess we'll have to wait to find out how he went....

Cheers,

Chris
