I agree with David's insight on this one; each verse seems a separate scenario and a strong chorus.

The strongest verse seems the first....It could develop into a spouse/partner claiming the passion and fire have cooled.....you used to spend time adoring me and now all you do is .........(fill in the gap)......(play golf, watch sports, work, song write :oops: :P ).

V1 set up
V2 what singee is pursuing
V3 what singer is doing and justifying....maybe even affair saying it's just a "trivial pursuit"

I like this a lot. Your choruses is especially strong. Very nice.

It does make me think, though, that you could set up the third verse to be something totally outside of a board game. Your first verse put me in the mindset of a lover's quarrel while the second had me thinking about the total lack of civility (or thought for that matter) that passes for politics these days. And the chorus is a perfect fit for other situation.

Looking forward to seeing where you go with this one.
