I think I'll leave the title as it is. as for "we won't need electricity"... scratch, vic and the celt, thanks for your suggestions... yet at least the ones about light would not be my choice as I meant everything electric, including also the telephone that is mentioned in the first lines... hm... I don't know... maybe the next few days will get me an answer for this(always postponing, ain't I?...)

Very nice tight songwriting.

I love the title as it is. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I will put my two cents in on the "Electricity" line.

How about something like:

We'll create our own electricity

Might be a little cliche but something along
these lines may work.

For the line Scratch mentioned, I'd agree, it does seem slightly out of place...maybe if you could work in a line like "We have our own electricity"....trouble is that'd involve re-writing at least the next line as well, and I haven't quite got the rhythm yet....I'll have another look at this later when Mr and Mrs Hangover decide to have a rest......

I like this one quite a lot. mellow, romantic, calming, are just a few adjectives that describe the feelings it evokes.

... Fire telling stories
... snow earning glory (really liked that)
... Moon's the only one still to arrive

really good, descriptive lines.

One single line seemed out of place to me. "We won't need electricity" Somehow, it's totally in keeping with your theme, but seems to disrupt the mood. I wonder if there's a better way to say it? Could be just me.

Even so, it's a wonderful piece. Probably (IMO) the best you've done.

okay, now on to the questions: first, the title. is it fine or should I take "If the sun might not come"(which I like more) or simply "Come down to the fireside"?
second, should the "come down..."parts have another line like "it'll be quiet from now on"(but I'd have to replace "quiet" in verse1 then) or "We'll rewrite from now on" or .... ?
