I had the same feeling when I first approached the Beatles assignment.

You've kept the theme consistent and the mood as well.
I am not sure what kind of music you hear with this.....Gregorian chant? It reads in the lines of a doxology.

Suggestion:
Consider revising this....
Lights dimmed in silence you may hear
Words and music playing softly in the ear
......it's a bit redundant, because "you may hear" is clear it would be "in the ear"
I'll let you match the words and music to have a listen before nit picking through anymore of the lyrics.

Good start....worth the wait!

James

was wondering if "history" (or essence) instead of soul could be used
Freshly painted walls but the history will remain
Genius embedded in the brickwork like a stain

And for this verse . . .
The passing of the famous through its door
Four Liverpool lads made this a hallowed floor
Words sung perfection mixed an ageless melody
They'd make a better world to be for you and me
. . . a little rewording for you to consider . . .
The passing of the famous through its doors
Four Liverpool lads (who) once walked these floors
Union of timeless words with an ageless melody
They'd make a better world to be for you and me

OK, well that's enough . . .

You know ya gotta make this one especially good . . . right? . . .

because we're talking something almost sacred . . .

KR2
