Consider staying with one position for the devil - either beside you or inside you; I prefer the first
He's always at my shoulder I like this idea -maybe enhance the idea something about the angel on your shoulder packing up or giving up a long time ago.

Strange, that's the second blues song I've written this week, and both of them have a chorus - I've written literally DOZENS of blues songs before, but I can't remember a single one having a chorus.....
