I love the back up vocals, too! Really catchy tune. I did not notice the repetition of the kiss theme in almost all the verses, but I must say that I like the pre-chorus very much, even though it's pop corny :wink: I found it beatle-ish for some reason, so I just sang along :D

As for the lyrics, I especially like the coffee / toast lines and the way he's trying to pretend she's just working late (the TV dinner, the iPod, talking as if she was there...) :D

Regarding the "kiss". It was intentional to put it in each verse, but it could be overdone :P . I like the idea of "kiss" b/c in this age of communication...email, cell phones, web cams....it's pretty easy to stay "in touch" but nothing can replace the physical touch...at least not yet....maybe give it another 30 years :roll: :lol: .....and I thought "I want to kiss you 'cause I miss you" was about as pop corny as you can get, so I thought it might be contrast to the verses.

In that second line i'd have said "reach for you, find your pillow instead"... that way the word "sintead" makes a little more sense.

Also in pretty much every verse you talk about kissing and then there it is again in chorus... I think maybe you could leave that in the first verse and maybe find something else to say in the others to keep from being overly repetitive. Of course Pop is built on repetition but I feel that those lines could be better used to say something else clever.

Overall you've got a pretty snappy sounding recording... the backup vocals standout as particularly cool with their classic pop/indie-rock sorta vibe. Your voice has some neat character to it too.

I think that's all I have at present...
