Very good points, everyone. I had kind of thrown this thing together in a short period- whatever happended to come to mind at the time. Verse 2 really isn't about interruptions- it is about something quite different than someone interrupting you. When I think about it, I meant the song to be more about peple talking without having anything important to say, rather than being about interruptions. That being said, the verses may both work but not the chorus. (Ironic since the chorus is the first thing I came up with.) Also, I didn't fel real comfortable with the "falling-out" and the "ballyhoo" either. I just stuck them in there because it was the best I could come up with at the time.

So maybe my direction should be re-writing the chorus and not having it be about interruptions anymore; I don't know.

Anyhow, thanx for taking the time to read my lyrics and for the comments.

And, no, I really don't have any music yet.

Hey, nice to have somebody write a song about me at last.

Good theme though, and you've got some heartfelt lines in there that pretty much everybody could relate to. :)

I agree with Ken that "ballyhoo" sounds a bit old fashioned or not quite right in some way. It might also be good to throw in a more specific bit of story.

You better have something to say
Or we'll have a falling-out.

Might have more impact if you put some action in there instead. Set up somebody annoying and then actually have the fight. Otherwise it's just a few verses of moaning. That can work too, but a bit of direct action can often help lift things.

Do you have any music in mind yet?

Cheers,

Chris
