I know I've mentioned it before in a PM to you, but I'll say it in public - thanks for your input on other people's songs these last few months, it's been well thought out and constructive, and you seem to have the knack of being able to dissect a song and see exactly what works and what doesn't - and offer some good suggestions, too. I think a few more people around here are grateful for your input too!

Before I started writing this song, I googled wedding songs....the lyrics were very blank, bland and corny..

...I think I learned from this assignment that this type of song, the music is the strongest element and the lyrics are more the generic canvas or background.....again, for this type of song...not necessarily all types.

That's excellent, well done. Your vocals are now getting much stronger and confident and it's really transforming good tunes into great songs.

I always say that the sign of a good tune is thinking you've heard it before somewhere.. :roll: Okay, so many notes etc etc, but this has a comfortable feel about it.

Like Jay, this line did make me scratch my head a bit....
What about if it was "Dance to seasons of sharing"? If you have "Dance to..." it tells me that the seasons are tunes (which I suppose they could be...artistically..) but I think you mean that they dance to celebrate each season together? So, how about:

Dance for the seasons of sharing.

I suppose it doesn't matter really - it's sounds nice any way you look at it... :wink:

Glad you've taken a leaf out of the NoteBoat process (which has always been my way of writing) - small and perfectly formed. A winner in my book and one that I could listen to again, and again...

Thanks for the suggestion. I kind of went through what I want to call the "NoteBoat" process :wink: and tried to strip the words down to a bare minimum. Your suggestion is valid, but then locks down the time frame to a couple that is already sharing seasons.

What about if it was "Dance to seasons of sharing"?

I really appreciate the feedback and insight. :D I did try to insert some longevity as far as looking forward and looking back regarding the years of marriage. It's often we have to grab one to lose the other.
I expect that it could be polished up a bit in spots Yes, it was a "hot out of the oven" post...again working with my hand held recorder, so there is room for tightening up for sure. :wink: I am just pleased that the sentiment came across.
