But coming up to five
I drift into deja vu
Is my train at quarter-past?
No, it's really quarter-to!

They glow :D

Oh, and the clocks taking over, , that is just too great an image! Can see them patrolling the streets and pulling strings

One thing I'm wondering about is the plot.. I have trouble following it/finding the coherence- is it like this:
waking up late (8:30) on a work day because of having been up late ("thinking of you" :D great excuse!)
then work
then almost missing the train home from work (16:45)
then preparing for a date and then late again (20:30) ?
Seems like I've got it worked out alright now, but it did confuse me while reading

Somehow I was expecting the third line of the chorus to be "turning turning turning" instead of "rushing rushing rushing"
I, for one, think "following the clock" is fine, although it does evoke a movement slower than "rushing" maybe "chasing" would be more appropriate (but that'd be an obvious/dull choice, chasing the clock, wouldn't it?) ?

Anyhow, I think this is great and would love to hear it :D
Cheers,
straycat.

Not too sure about the quality or long-term potential for this song, but I'll just throw it out so I can cross the task off and have a peaceful Friday.
