Aw, I know, I know, I've been practising the disappearing trick, it seems. Been busy with fun stuff and not so fun stuff, and, in the process, somehow lost sight of SSG.. but you need not believe that I wasn't sufefring from a bad conscience .. AND I've been trying to catch up, so here goes the 3- to 4-year-old song:

Week Dance

On Monday, we spin with our arms out
On Tuesday, we watch the leaves sprout
On Wednesday, we paint the pavement and make up new plans
For we have reached the middle of the week
We might purr like a cat all Thursday and howl like a wolf all Friday, but now hold it,
For here comes a broad grin on pancake legs: it's Saturday, it's the beginning of the weekend
We can sail to Sweden or find that treasure map again
And, while we tell our adventures to anyone who'll listen, tree trunk, wardrobe or parent,
We hope that the sun won't sleep in on her day,
So we can dance out and play before even the birds wake
Up
And if the moon still has chores to do at his aunt's place
He won't see us skipping on our beds all Sunday
Night
And if he should see and turn grumpy, we'll just say it's our week dance
You have to do some skipping before one week ends and the next one begins

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
We have reached the middle of the week
Thursday, Friday, hold it,
Here comes the weekend, Saturday, Sunday
And then it begins again

Confession#1: I found it frightfully difficult to come up with a topic (didn't want to do the names of the seasons/months/colurs of the rainbow thing.. thought about geography and behaviour and... ah.. feltlike this was over my, as well as teh supposed audience's heads, plus, I was feeling pretty uninspired so I settled for week days... )
Confession#2: I know this is a bit too wordy in places, and too clumsy.. and the leaves sprouting is plain cheesy..(but my original ling was just too long-winded)..any suggestions for straightening up are very welcome! As are any other comments :-)

Cheers,
straycat.
