Hi Wilhelmina,

Good start :D I really like your Elvis tie-in.

Friendly! You tell me your Fido is friendly!
Sir or madam, oh please!--WHY IS THE SINGER UNSURE IF THE SINGEE IS A SIR OR MADAM? THAT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING FROM A LETTER BEING WRITTEN, BUT THE SINGER SEEMS TO BE RESPONDING TO THE DOG OWNER'S CONVERSATION WHILE THE DOG IS DOING THESE VARIOUS ACTIVITIES IN THEIR PRESENCE.
What your fleabag of a dog is doing
Is wiping its nose on the backs of my knees! -SOUNDS LIKE A NOW ACTIVITY WHILE THEY ARE TALKING....NOT A LETTER BEING WRITTEN....I'M NOT CLEAR ON THE SETTING IF THE SINGER IS ALONE; WITH THE DOG OWNER; WITH THE DOG OWNER AND DOG PRESENT?

Friendly! You tell me your Fido is friendly!
Sir or madam, don't make me laugh!
What your wolfhound of a dog is doing
Is sniffing me up and I- PRESENCE OF ALL THREE INDICATED (SINGER, DOG OWNER, DOG)
Have to stand here and take it
Because your Rex is as big as a calf!

When I was out walking
With Gerry this morning -NOT CLEAR IF THIS IS A DOG OR PERSON
At the corner of Palm
And Bittersweet, -AWKWARD NAME FOR A STREET -IF THE SINGER IS TALKING TO THE DOG OWNER THEY BOTH SHOULD KNOW THE AREA....HOW DID THE DOG GET OUT? WAS THE SINGER BRINGING THE DOG BACK?.....THIS IS ADDING CONFUSION TO THE LOCATION AND TIME FRAME OF THE CONFRONTATION BETWEEN THE SINGER AND DOG OWNER

A small yappy cur THIS DOESN'T FIT WITH THE PREVIOUS DESCRIPTION "your Rex is as big as a calf!"
Of a mangy brown dog
Was out with no leash
On the street. ALREADY MENTIONED BY NAMING CROSS STREETS

It charged like a bull-SUGGESTS BIG DOG NOT SMALL
At my helpless bare toes
And sunk its sharp teeth
Into both of my feet! SEEMS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE

- Not very far in.
- Not through the skin.

But, sir or madam, just the same,
I've had quite enough
Of your 'my-dog-is-friendly' game.

Friendly! You tell me your Fido is friendly!
You say she just wants to give me a lick! WHEN IS THE LICKING HAPPENING? YOU HAVE WIPING NOSE, SNIFFING, LICKING AND BITING--- THE BITING SEEMS TO BE WHEN THE OWNER WAS NOT AROUND, BUT THE DOG'S PERSONALITY SEEMS TO CONFLICT----LICKER OR BITER? PLAYFUL OR AGGRESSIVE?
Sir or madam, when I think where
That dog's tongue has been, I feel sick!

Friendly! You tell me your dog
is the friendliest thing!
But let me tell you,
In the words of 'The King':
That miserable mutt of yours
Is far from top-of-the-line.

It ain't nothing but a hound dog,
Sir or madam,
And it ain't no friend of mine!

Thanks for sharing.

James
