this is a nice song, and I think your writing style here is a little different, which I like btw. My only critisism is this line: Is this Where The Side Walk Ends Im not sure what you are saying here.

I'm glad you enjoyed this piece it was rather enjoyable
to write. I did attempt to make it longer but everything
I came up with sounded too forced . So for now it remains
a short little song. Kind of a Hallmark Moment.

I recorded an MP3 that is more or less a sketch of
how I see the song .

It's still very much a work in progress.

You should definitely make it longer though, I know there's always a temptation to say "it's perfect now so I won't add more", but all you are left with then is a great song that is over twice as fast as all your other songs. You must have more memories of your daughters than just one verse. Also, when you hit a vein of form like this you should exploit it until you have a nice 4-5 minute song. This is very nice piece you have written , I have a daughter who is now 23 and now she is a mother of one . This made me thinking of all those years ago when she was little and her mum would put her hair piggy tails ( I think thats what they called , you know one hanging down over each ear) .

They grow up so fast and when one reads somethig like this the memories just flood back .

You don't always need a lot of lyrics to get what you want to say in a song.

Our Pet Zebra Finches have a new set of triplets
so that explains the leaving the nest metaphore.
