SlowPlay mentioned "the little bits of reality captured within"
It's nice when somebody gets exactly what you were trying to
convey. Also that bit about "imposing my style on your writing"
That's OK I enjoy your style of writing but I'm going to stay with
what I have here. I was definately going for something more
minimalistic here with the lyrics and music too. Don't think I'll
get an MP3 up soon I moved my guitars and stuff to another room
and that makes it more difficult to record. Not impossible but
I have to run wires up a flight o stairs to make connection with
the computer.

Some of you mentioned the anger in the chorus. I was thinking
more of resignation at least on the verses but think I can put a
little more anger in the chorus.

Music it just D to C6add9 on the verses with the lyrics spoken
in a conversational tone.

The chorus is sung:

With the final D starting the D to C thing again two times before the

You can really feel the narrator is mad when the chorus is sung. Great stuff. I don't mind done-me-wrong's when they're done well, and this one is. The chorus is great, can't wait to hear it.

Also impressive are the little bits of reality captured within, like:
I'm taking the car and the credit cards
Yes I'll pay the overdue Really shows where the relationship is at in a few short words.

I think there's room to get more bang for your buck in a few places.

For example:
I know what you've been doing
You've been seeing some other guy
Then you come in here stinking of gin
And telling me all your lies I'll bet we can make a few different changes to get more out of these. Maybe:

I know where you've been drinking
Late night shots with some other guy
Slink back stinking with an empty bottle of gin
And a mickey full of lies

You may not want to use these ( especially since I break your flow and feel, and the last line is a bit sappy ), but they're here for the sake of example. There's a bit more imagery with these, and a bit more anger.
