It all started this morning

I think this is pretty good really, there is only one line that seems just a little flat to me, this one:
It all started this morning
Read that note said you were gone
Yes it all started this morning
Read that note said you were gone
Ain't no four leaf clover
Gonna save my soul for very long

Maybe something like this:
It all started this morning
Read that note said you were gone
Yes it all started this morning
Read that note said you were gone
Ain't no four leaf clover gonna save me
Now you've left me all alone

Just an idea

Paul
