I may not use all of them but they<br>helped me think of a few of my own.<br><br>My only problem is I have most of the music for this but now I'm <br>thinking will it work closer to Johnny Cash or U2. I don't think it will<br>work as Mott The Hoople. <br><br>Trev, Dominic is HILARIOUS :lol:  :lol:  :lol: <br><br>Kathy, I'm glad you enjoyed it.                         <content:encoded><![CDATA[Very little to find fault with here, John, I think you've come up with a very good Christmas song....yea, even a carol...<br><br>"And somewhere there were shepherds <br>Keeping watch upon their sheep ".......you might try changing sheep to flocks, seems to flow a tiny bit better...<br><br>"As a mother laid her babe amongst the beast "......beasts?<br><br>"As we gather 'round and light the Christmas tree".....sounds like you're setting fire to it, that was my first impression anyway....maybe something like "As we gather round the Christmas tree and dream...."<br><br>"Somewhere in a garden <br>A man He stands betrayed <br>Revealed by a kiss upon His cheek <br>And somewhere His desiple <br>Denies as they were told <br>Claims no knowledge of this name they speak "........<br><br>I'm not at all sure this verse should be written in the present tense, it just  doesn't seem to fit....<br><br>"Somewhere in a garden,<br>A man he stood betrayed,<br>Marked by a kiss upon his cheek,<br>And somewhere a disciple,<br>Denied the truths he told,<br>Claimed no knowledge of the name they speak...." might read a little better.....<br><br>But these are only little tweaks, as I like to say, fine tuning.....<br><br>On a side note, your song seems to refer to other songs .....<br><br>The "Alpha Omega" line made me think of Johnny Cash's "When The Man Comes Around".....<br><br> "Somewhere on a cross <br>A Soldier pierced His side <br>The Lamb of God's last blood was on the sword"......<br><br>made me think of U2 and BB King doing "When Love Comes To Town"......<br><br>and of course, as a HUGE Mott The Hoople fan, I loved the "Roll Away The Stone" line......<br><br>As always, enjoyed your writing, John - heartfelt, well written and above all meaningful and relevant.....<br><br>And enjoy YOUR holidays too.....<br><br> :D  :D  :D <br><br>Vic]]></content:encoded>
