Er, umm, er - YES!

This is actually the first time anyone's taken one of my songs and rearranged it - I wasn't sure I'd like anyone "tampering" with my music, but I think you've done a pretty damn good job here John.

This is actually a very personal song to me - I wrote it, originally, just after I got divorced way back in 1984. I actually forgot about it for years - then I re-wrote it, as best as I could, for that particular SSG assignment. Back then, the main fingerpicking section was D C and G - for the SSG assignment, I tried to make it sound less like "More Than A Feeling" by using Dsus2 (200320) Cadd9 (x32030) and G6 (320030) for a slightly different feel.

It's strange sometimes - you get an idea for lyrics, you get a melody line, you put some music to it - and it's been done before. D, Cadd9 and G - just off the top of my head I can think of "More Than A Feeling," Rod Stewart's "Every Picture Tells A Story," Status Quo's "Whatever You Want" - although I believe both the last two were recorded in drop D - and Guns'n'Roses "Sweet Child Of Mine." All completely different songs, but all share the same chords.....

Anyway, thanks a lot, John - you've shown me that not all of my songs have to be done in the same old way, there ARE other ways to do them!

:D :D :D

Vic
