Very nice. And I can definitely hear this as a bit of a jazz-lounge style number. Maybe we'll get Jose to channel his best Frank for you?

Two thoughts:

The last line in the second stanza, while probably one of the most important lines in the whole song, comes across a bit clunky. Not sure this is the best fix, but how about:

Whatever words I think out loud
Whatever things I do
Whatever song I play for a crowd
Their soul (s?) come straight from you

Secondly, this stanza is so important I think you should tack it on to the ending as well. Yes it makes the song a little longer, but I think using both of the first two stanzas as bookends makes a very strong impression.

Looking forward to this hearing this at some point. Break out your diminished chord dictionary!
