I do agree that it is a little on the complex side, as I was writing it just seemed to flow that way! There were a lot of lines I thought could stand by themselves, and they just ended up arranging themselves in a sort of pattern as I wrote, so I just went with it till the end. and thanks for your other comments, i appreciate it. :)

XXXX you would be neither wrong or right in saying it is written for two people. It is currently arranged for one, but in reading your comment I realised there are lots of places where harmony and echo could be placed or added- gave me an idea for a new arrangement!

thanks again for your replies.

Jacqui

Hi Jacqui,

I read this earlier in the week, and was quite impressed. But I haven't had a chance to comment on anything before this evening.

Anyways, I had a tough time figuring out your structure on this one. It looks sorta complex. For instance, you have a chorus, immediately followed by a section marked (C2). Then you have those two-line sections right after a verse. And the bridge towards the end. You may be able to pull this off real well, I wouldn't know. I'm only saying it was complex. There are a lot of complex songs though, that work real well.

There's a lot, though, about this song that I really like. The first verse is just beautiful. "Constructed eternity" and "superficial time", wonderful phrases.

and "I want to be the tiny raindrop, who starts a raging flood" -- terrific lines. And then, your bridge is absolutely wonderful. Really enjoyed reading this.
