Rahul. I think for a starter kit you'll love it. I got lucky with my Washburn bass in that it came with everything I needed to sit down and play. If you are getting that starter pack, I think you'll have fun with it.
Enjoy!!

"I play live as playing dead is harder than it sounds!"
in my college i have seen that the guys use same amp for the elec as well as the bass.i find the sound perfectly fine..
the amp is a local made with no distortion or anything...so what is so special about a bass amp.And spose i get a bass amp can i go with my electric with it ?
(sorry for being reallllllllllly inquisitive......)
A guitar amp won't put out the same lows a bass amp can. Also, the tone controls on your guitar amp don't control the right frequency range for a bass, so you won't get very cood control over your bass tone.
are there any bass simulators ...that is using an effect processor to get the sound of a bass from an electric guitar..?
I think so, but I don't know how good they are. It wouldn't be much like playing a bass though.
Another good bass player who sings is Kim Deal from the band Pixies and the Breeders (i think she plays guitar in the latter). A lot of Pixies songs use the bass for the melody as well instead of just rythm. She doesn't do very complicated riffs or anything like that but it's very effective and powerful in other ways.
