i've been trying to figure it out for ages, i can't understand what tuning he uses or how he plays it or anything.
quick replies are greatly appreciated as i'm supposed to play this live in a week :P

sorry, i guess it's a bit rude but i really need to figure at least the first chord out, 'cause i'm supposed to play it in a few days.
please, please help. just a tiny bit would be great.

Don't have my guitar handy or I'd try to figure it out, but why don't you send the guy an e-mail and ask him what chords he's playing. He will probably be flattered.

I just had a quick listen.
Intro: Dm Dm Gm Gm7
It's in standard tuning and starts on a 5th position D minor (X57765) but it could also be 10th position D minor (10 12 12 10 10 10) and he's avoiding the first string. (same sound)
Then to 3rd pos G minor (355333) followed by G minor7 (355363) -
The verse often brings in Bb (688766) instead of Gm7 as Dm |Dm |Gm |Bb |
Strum downstrokes in eighth beats as 1&2&3&4& per measure
The chorus/ bridge is based on Bb |C |Dm |Dm |
That should get you started, until someone can give it a more thorough listening.
