"When you buy it you MUST correct its setup- you have to adjust the strings and the pickup heights and finely adjust the length of the strings and also the tension on the tremolo bridge in the back of the guitar. Said simply- you have to fit it for your needs and demands. No "fabrically adjusted" equipment should be used "as it is". At this point I have to mention that the single pickup sounds a bit quieter than the HBs, obviously, because its signal can't be as strong as the double pickups. So it should be a bit closer to the strings than the HBs in order to get equal output power.""
this is what i saw in a review. Please tell me how to do all those things!
Try to answer ALL of that PLEASE :|

I would play it first and see if you like it. It might be fine for you. If you dont like the way it feels, I would take it into a store and have a tech set it up for you. Just tell him how you like to play and what you want the guitar to sound and feel like. Should cost around $25-30. I've also played stock guitars that felt and sounded great.

Or you could adjust it yourself for free and learn a lot in the process. I would get a book at the guitar store on guitar setup or search the web a bit.

As far as pickup height, it vary's from guitar to guitar and depends on the pickup. All pickups have a sweet spot. I disagree with what the reviewer said about single coil pickup height. Single coils often can be very hot and loud. Look at the pickup height on hendrix's strats, they were almost flush with the pickguard. Really depends on the guitar. If you dont like the sound of your pickups, you can always play with the height untill you find something that sounds good. Its the cheapest upgrade there is and its fun to experiment!

hope this helps,

I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.

I think he is trying to say that guitars need to be adjusted to some degree for everyone because we all want something different in fit and sound, also that many guitars are sold poorly adjusted.
There is a chance that you will find the guitar on the rack that is just what you want, especially if you have some idea what you are looking for and what will fill that need. The guitar is probably more apt to be adjusted well if you buy from a good shop and not a chain store or internet site. If not, they are more apt to adjust it for you.

I bought a Telecaster for a great price from a great local shop and it required nothing, but I did make minor tweaks to adjust it to my preferred feel after a couple months.
I also just bought a great guitar for an even better price off the internet, but it was completely unadjusted when I got it. It took me a couple days to get all the kinks out. I could also have brought it to a shop for a complete set-up, but I'm cheap and I like to learn how to do this kind of stuff. I had to set the string height, the intonation, file a bit out of one of the nut slots, and set the pick-up height to get balanced tone. Now it plays and sounds pretty good.

If your guitar sounds and plays well, you don't have to do anything. If you have a particular question, just ask.
