How to keep my son interested in lessons

I hear that. I have class tonight, and I can't not take him, due to scheduling issues. So what I'm going to do is let him take some of his graphic novels to read during class, so he hopefuly won't get bored. I agree that it is often our expectations of our children that need to change, rather than the children themselves- and I think that my boy may not be ready, despite what he may say. The adventure continues....

ETA: Update- I talked to my boy about the situation and my proposed solution, and he was fine with it. He actually dozed off in the back of the room-I'm glad he doesn't snore. :wink: I noticed also that a teenage boy in the class, 15 or so, was getting fidgety last night-we were getting into arpeggio chord playing and I think I have hit a learning curve there! :shock: As the instructor saidto me afterward, "After all, this is an adult class," and it might be over a younger one's head.
