I found a good site recently for music at:

http://www.encoremusic.com

What I like about this site is that it has a legend with symbols that summarize the various aspects of song books. Most importantly, it has a rating system of 1 to 6 for the song books, with 1 being considered easy and 6 being considered hard. There's a good Beatles book with an easy rating of 1, as well as others. I'm not sure whether the prices are competitive, but I do like the rating system because it gives you a good idea whether a particiular book is more geared toward newbies, intermediate, or more advanced players, before you shell out your dollars. For example, I'd love to be playing Green Day's international superhits songs, but with an intermediate rating of 3, it's just beyond my abilities at this point. FYI.

Oh, I forgot to add that the legend indicates whether books have standard notation and guitar tab, which appears to be the case for most of the guitar books. Level 1 books appear to even have the note names written inside the particular notes for easy reference for newbies like me who are learning to read music as well as play the right notes on the guitar.

some others would be pm=palm mute and on bends you might see 1/2 or 1 or 2 indicating bend a 1/2, whole or 2 steps
